Our goal is to understand the role of spatial chromatin organization in the regulation of gene expression in mammalian cells.
We are particularly interested in defining how epigenetic modifications affect chromatin structure and genome function in “normal” and cancer cells. We are characterizing the molecular mechanisms involved in regulating the three-dimensional chromatin architecture and expression of Hox genes in leukemia cell models.
